Natural resources are resources found throughout the map, benefiting the city if specialized. Natural resources are forests, fertile land, oil, and ores. A district can be drawn over the natural resource area and specialized by applying a policy. If the specialized area contains the relevant natural resource, the industries within the area will yield more tax income.[1]

Farming industryEdit

Fertile land is specialized by the agricultural industry and is renewable. Agricultural industries have a higher water usage but will not produce any ground pollution. Additionally, the industry specialization provides jobs to low level educated citizens. The industry provides a modest tax income boost of 10%.

Forestry industryEdit

Forests are specialized by the forestry industry and is renewable. Forestry industries have a moderate usage of electricity and creates a high amount of noise pollution. Additionally, the industry specialization provides jobs to low level educated citizens. The industry provides a modest tax income boost of 7%.

Forest industries can be manipulated by adding more trees via decoration. This allows the industry to provide more resources.

Oil industryEdit

Oil is specialized by the oil industry and is non-renewable. Oil industries have a significant amount of electricity usage and creates large amounts of ground pollution. The industry specialization provides jobs to any level of educated citizens. The industry provides the largest tax income boost of 35%.

Ore industryEdit

Ore is specialized by the ore industry and is non-renewable. Ore industries have a substantial amount of electricity usage and creates large amounts of ground pollution. The industry specialization provides jobs to any level of educated citizens. The industry provides a 20% tax income boost.
